Jho Low, the Malaysian financier accused by U.S. prosecutors of orchestrating the multibillion-dollar 1MDB fraud, has formally requested a pardon from President Trump, according to Bloomberg Politics. Low, who has been a fugitive since U.S. charges were filed in 2018, is alleged to have diverted roughly $4.5 billion from the Malaysian state investment fund.
