Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) endorsed President Trump's push for a federal gas tax holiday, calling the 18-cent-per-gallon cut "symbolic" but still meaningful for consumers, according to Bloomberg. Issa had previously criticized a similar proposal when it was advanced under the Biden administration. Said Issa: "China must be part of the solution" to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while defending continued U.S. involvement in the Iran conflict despite rising inflation and gas prices.
