Coons Says Trump Stayed Silent on Taiwan Arms Sales in China

Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) said President Trump traveled to China on "a weaker footing" and that Trump's silence on Taiwan arms sales represented "a critical step backwards" for U.S. interests, according to Bloomberg Politics. Separately, Christopher Smart of the Arbroath Group said incoming Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh cannot "credibly" argue for rate cuts at this stage, citing rising energy prices and building inflation pressures.
